Progress Update - Nov 7, 2022

First Progress Update!

Hello! I just realized I can post devlogs on here. I've been mainly posting things in the King's Crook Discord server (https://discord.com/invite/hdYctSmyQJ).

Regarding the project:

Progress is steady. Things have shifted more towards content development rather than engine development at this point in the project.

I've refactored parts of the engine and I thank all the playtesters who gave feedback, found bugs, and provided ideas.
Content being developed at the moment includes the game world, items, and skills. I've created around 3-4% of the world map so far and this indirectly requires that I make new assets, models, animations, etc.

I'm beginning to work on non-combat skills. The blacksmithing skill has been merged into the crafting skill and the new alchemy skill has taken blacksmithing's place.

In the attached images you can see a few new things. I was given motivation to implement dithered transparency for solid colored polygons (recommended by JokuIhminen in Discord) and this allowed me to create the lantern's glass in the first image. I've also added a few new weapons, a morning star, flail, and longsword (more to come). The person in the first image is a solider for King Sharif's army.

In the image below you can see the first instance of a 'large' entity, a camel.

Some bugs I fixed involved the loot table rolling logic which was very flawed before. It works as intended now.

I've made throwable weapons consumable now (suggested by aleok in Discord).

There are plenty more small fixes and improvements I've made that don't come to mind right now but again I thank all the people who played the game and provided feedback.

I hope to post more devlogs in the future however if you're interested in seeing more frequent updates and/or want a place to talk to everyone in the community and I, please consider joining the Discord server (https://discord.com/invite/hdYctSmyQJ).

Thank you!

To run the game I need an executable file
and not a shared library.

Which version are you referring to? Windows, Linux or Mac? Oh by the way they're all 64-bit applications, I should add that to the description.

Then I'm out.
Mx-15 Debian Jessie 32 bit.
Thanks for your answer.

No problem, thank you for helping make the download description better!
